Anime Music Video (AMV)

I don't understand why I didn't open this thread earlier since it's one of my hobby's. ^^

So for the people who don't know what an "Anime Music Video" is, it's very simple take a song that you like and make a Music Video for it using an Anime, the result is a AMV. ^^

Don't panic you don't have to make one, but I won't stop you if you wan't to make one.

I just want you to post links to AMV's that you know and want to show other people they don't have to be made by you and you don't need to upload them.
Just post a link and discuss the AMV. ^^

You know i actualy perferred skittles XD! (the one similar to that i believe), the mouthing seemed to go quite well xD, however i felt the songs a bit slow (thats where your one wins xD). BUT THE QUALITY > YOURS XD!

The AMV's I made were a different style I tried to tell a story that was fitting the songs or to match the video with the feelings I had listening to the songs. So I nearly used no effects at all.

Mine are much worse compared to those one.

I hope you'll accept games into the genre of AMV's.
There's none I really liked that featured animes, so it's usually just the song and some fan made videos that I watch/listen.

This one is by far my favorite. It features clips from the Silent hill games along with Tool's Parabol and Parabola. I admit the songs are very slow, but after you get past Parabol it speeds up some (about 1/3 of the way through). I just found the song and the game clips harmonize.

Seems most of these I liked are done with Tool songs. There's a great one for their song Pet.

That was an awesome video for Foo Fighters, btw.

Oh, Daft Punk's album Discovery has an anime-like (not sure who the artist is) video for each of the songs. My favorite from that one was Digital Love. here

Yeah I forgot to mention that Video Games and CG Movies are allowed to. ^^
I love Tool and these 2 are my Favorit songs.

The Videos from the Daft Punk album Discovery were made by Studio Toei and they produced it under the supervision of Leiji Matsumoto.
The whole thing tells a story it's a sort of musical and it is called Interstella 5555 - The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem. It's about 60minutes long.

I should have done my research if I wanted to mention it.

I went through and tried to find some AMV's, but I only got through some for Gantz. I really wanted to find a good one for that anime. I found two amazing ones.

The second one surprised me with how well the song conveyed the feelings of the anime. The video quality isn't as good as the first though.
I also found two new artist to look up.

I also remembered one that I found to be very amusing, even if it wasn't the best.

I was thinking about making one using Kanokon but I am waiting till it has been completely released.
That reminds me that I still have to download the RAW-version. ^^

I wanted to make one with Candy Boy too but I can't find the RAW of it.

Hahah well, i guess we need a story line, song and such ! And theme etc =].

Erm, sorry to break into the convo like this, but I found some amusing videos.
I was actually curious to see if anyone had made an AMV with Paranoia agent using Maxwell's Silverhammer (Beatles) and ended up finding these:
Azumanga Daioh: The Lost Episodes II and
Azumanga Daioh: the Lost Episodes III.
I had not been drinking at the time so I can have some pride in saying they are funny. The first one wasn't. Don't watch it.
Of course I ended up looking at quite a mountian's worth of Azumanga Daioh AMV's. I'll just post this one since it was rather nice.

So there it is the First AMV I ever made.
I used Windows Movie Maker there no effekts not only because WMM doesn't provide good ones but also because it didn't want them. ^^
It's not perfect I know but I like it there are some parts that I would change if I would redo it but I like the whole thing it has good parts at suits the mood I had listening the song.
I didn't have the RAW of the Anime so I had to use parts where they don't talk to avoid having subtitles during the video. I think that was the most difficult part not only to find good scenes but also good scenes without subs. ^^

It's very easy but you can't really do anything.

I think it's a bit crappy compared to good ones and I you watch it you can see that I got a bit lazy in the last 1/3 of the video.

Don't understand me wrong I like it but it's not good.
It was my first one and Windows Movie Maker doesn't allow to make good things. ^^

P.s. I really liked the Anime I used. I can really recommend it. ^^
