The question is what does Kyouya mean in english and how does it add up with his role/main position in the host club? (by that I mean his job besides being the cool type host)

soo his name is 鳳 鏡夜, in japanese... 鏡夜 which means mirror night... thats as far as i can interpret... however in chinese 鳳 means pheonix...

It's a bit hard for someone who doesn't know that anime an don't understand japanese.

I'm going to take a guess at this one.

They called him the Shadow King in other episodes.
I don't know the Japanese language very well, but after some research I found that his name means something along the lines of 'to echo'.

I guess that's why they call him the shadow king? Of course they did call him a few other things; like mom and low blood-pressure evil lord.
The twins also do pretty much everything the same way. It's like one is a reflection of the other.

So his name reflects the fact that he's like an echo, or a shadow of another?
It seems to fit his character. I've watched this anime a few times since I enjoyed it so much.

My answer/guess: Reflective.

I keep thinking of him as being the Shadow King.
The characters for his name translate to 'mirror' and 'evening, or night', as Ren-kun stated.
I'm guesssing they've pretty much been calling him by what his name means during the anime.

So, I'm thinking his name means shadow in english. Tamaki is the 'king' of the club, since he started it. Kyouya is the 'shadow king' since he pretty much runs everything.

I can't think of anything else it might mean. So this is my final answer.
It seems to fit, since it is a parody.
